2. Service Description

WorldSim is a scenario simulation platform that models structural country futures using historical data, baseline forecasts, user-defined parameters, coupling rules, and Monte Carlo simulation. The Service produces probability distributions for socio-economic indicators, not predictions or financial advice.

3. Account Registration

• You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.
• You must provide a valid email address and maintain its accuracy.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• One person may not maintain multiple free-tier accounts.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Plans

WorldSim offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Individual, Professional, Institutional, Institutional Pro, and Enterprise). Features, simulation limits, and pricing vary by tier. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page.

4.2 Billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis.
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• Prices are displayed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.

4.3 Free Tier

The free tier is provided at our discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Free-tier accounts are subject to daily simulation limits and feature restrictions.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@worldsimlab.com within 14 days of the charge.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the simulation engine or algorithms
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or feature restrictions
• Share account credentials or allow unauthorised access to your account
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without prior written permission
• Interfere with the Service's infrastructure, security, or availability
• Resell or redistribute simulation results as a competing service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The WorldSim platform, including its simulation engine, algorithms, coupling rules, user interface, and documentation, is the intellectual property of WorldSim. All rights are reserved.

7.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of the simulation configuration inputs you provide and the results generated from your runs. We claim no ownership over your simulation data.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

• Simulation outputs are probabilistic scenarios, not predictions, forecasts, or recommendations.
• Outputs should not be used as the sole basis for financial, investment, policy, or legal decisions.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of simulation results.
• Historical data used in simulations is sourced from public databases and may contain errors or gaps.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service availability.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WorldSim shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@worldsimlab.com.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with 30 days' notice (except in cases of serious violation, where immediate termination may apply).
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your simulation data will be deleted within 30 days unless otherwise required by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use and cancel your subscription.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable local regulations. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection and dispute resolution procedures.
